The scholarships listed below will be awarded to students that meet the specific scholarship criteria:Please note: If you submit an application for Greater Riverside Dollars for Scholars – you will be considered for all the below listed scholarships. Scholarships are for one year only. Scholarship awards for each of the scholarships will be made according to the below listed criteria. Please be aware that there are two special scholarships that require additional attachments aside from what is required for a complete Greater Riverside Dollars for Scholars Application. Please make sure to review the specific scholarship listing information below. Any required attachment for a specific scholarship can be found directly after various scholarship listings. Scholarship awards are for one year only. There may be other scholarships that are not listed below that eligible applicants will also be considered for.

The Community Foundation Serving Riverside and San Bernardino Counties Scholarship: Multiple scholarships will be given to students who demonstrate severe financial need.
- Tavaglione Family Scholarship: These scholarships focus on students from schools in Jurupa Unified, Corona-Norco Unified and Ramona High School. Multiple scholarships will be given to students with a GPA in the 2.5-3.2 range, who are economically disadvantaged (self or counselor referral), have an aptitude for, an interest in and excel in athletics, music or government. Students should demonstrate self-determination and have interests in an emphasis on volunteerism and community service.
- Magnolia Lions Club Al Miller Memorial Scholarship: These scholarships focus on students from CSDR, Poly High School, Martin Luther King High School, and Riverside Unified School District in general. The recipients will be entering any of the following fields: optometry, ophthalmology, or health care or medical studies in college and/or have demonstrated an outstanding record of community service while in high school.One scholarship will be awarded to any RUSD senior who personally or whose family has been the victim of a major catastrophic medical crisis during the student’s high school career.
- Greater Riverside Chambers of Commerce Scholarship: All of the Chamber divisions award scholarships to students who will attend a local college or university including Riverside City College, California Baptist University, La Sierra University or UC Riverside and who have significant involvement in the local community helping others or in some way improving the community. The recipient must demonstrate clearly articulated goals and have at least a 2.5 GPA. Some work experience is preferred but is not mandatory. Each council sponsors scholarships for schools that are within its service area as follows:
Arlington Business Partnership: Arlington High School, Ramona High School, or Sherman Indian High School
Downtown Business Council: John W. North High School
East Hills Business Council: Martin Luther King High School
Hunter Park Business Council: John W. North High School
Magnolia Center Business Council: California School for the Deaf and Polytechnic High School, one of which will go to a student in the Hospitality Academy, and Notre Dame High School
La Sierra Business Council: La Sierra High School, Norte Vista High School, Alvord Continuation High School

National Charity League, Riverside Chapter (NCL): This scholarship is for female students only. Ticktockers are not eligible. One $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to a young woman who lives within the boundaries or attends high school in either Riverside, Alvord or Jurupa unified school district. The recipient must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher and have participated significantly in community service, which has been documented and verified by the organization(s) where the service was completed. The recipient will attend the NCL Awards Brunch in May. In addition to the regular GRDFS application, students must complete the separate page with particular information required by the NCL and attach with the GRDFS requirements at the time of application submission. Grant Elementary School: Up to $4,000 will be awarded to a student who attended Grant Elementary School in Riverside Unified School District. If there are multiple applicants, this scholarship may be divided among them.

Alvord Management and Confidential Employees (AMACE) Scholarship: Scholarships will be awarded to a student from each of the three Alvord USD high Schools. The recipients must have a 3.0 or higher GPA and a recommendation from an administrator at their school. Recommendation letter from school administrator may also be used as one of the required letters of recommendation as required by GRDFS. The letter of recommendation must be attached with GRDFS requirements at the time of application submission.
