Applicants are encouraged to review the available scholarships page, in case you plan on applying for specific additional scholarships that may require additional documents. If you are applying for additional scholarships that require supporting documents, it is your responsibility to submit them in addition to the regular requirements. If applying completely online, you are required to scan and submit the documents under the upload documents page.

Applicants may opt to download an editable copy of the 2010-2011 by clicking one of the file formats above. Please note: hard copies of the Dollars for Scholars Application can also be obtained from your school counselor. In order for your application to be considered, it must be fully complete, and received by February 4, 2011. It is HIGHLY recommended that students review the application requirements as soon as possible. Do not use any other Dollars for Scholars Application. Scholarship awardees will be notified by your school of the status of your application in time for the senior awards program.
There are three separate ways that you can apply for the Greater Riverside Dollars for Scholars Scholarship:

Download the Online Application, obtain/complete the necessary components of the application with required signatures then scan and submit all documents electronically by uploading your scanned attachments under the upload documents page. Please note that in order to complete your application online, you must have access to a scanner and computer in order to submit the required documents.

Download the online application and submit the completed hard copy to your school counselor.

Obtain a hard copy from your school counselor and submit it back to your school counselor.
A complete application includes the following required documents:
Please review the following criteria for a complete application. Incomplete applications will not be considered. If applying online, each document that is submitted under the upload documents page must have the applicant’s full name and high school included in the header of each document. You will submit each required document separately under the upload documents page. You can scan and upload the required documents at your convenience during the application period. Once your all of the required documents have been received for your application you will receive an email confirmation.
- A complete 2010-2011 Greater Riverside Dollars for Scholars Application is required. You can download the application and save it to your computer. The application requires that you obtain transcript information and an applicant appraisal. If applying online, it is recommended that the applicant complete the application, print it, and request that the applicant appraisal and transcript information be completed by their counselor. The applicant will then scan and submit their completed application with the required signatures. In order for your application to be complete, you must submit the application, along with the below listed requirements under upload documents.
- Essay: Please write an essay that describes your current educational plans and career goals. Include some of the events and/or people in your life that have helped you to shape your plans and goals. Use a 12pt. font and double space your essay, which is not to exceed two typed pages. If applying online, you will submit your essay as an attachment under the upload documents page. It is recommended that you begin your essay as the first step in the application process.
- Two (2) letters of recommendation are required.These letters should be from people who know you and cannot be from the person that will complete your applicant appraisal. Examples of recommenders include: teacher, counselor, administrator, employer/supervisor, minister/pastor, family friend). If applying online, you will scan and submit your essay as an attachment under theupload documents page.

A current high school transcript is required. If applying online, you will scan and submit your transcript under the upload documents page.
